I started a small part-time home-based business a few years ago to supplement my income, it has flourished now into quite an income and I have decided to turn it into a mini-Franchise operation. My own business, the one I am now franchising, I fell into accidentally when I was doing work for one of my customers and he asked me if I knew anyone who provided a particular service that he needed, I didn't but I volunteered to do it myself and that is when I realised that I had found a market that there was little competition in, something that was practically all profit. I carried out a lot of market research, spoke to a lot of business owners and service providers, then set up my system and bingo - I have been making quite a few £'s ever since, it certainly pays for the holidays and my cars and this is still only a part-time business as we have other business interests as well. I would appreciate any help you can give me in spreading the word. There will only be ONE mini-Franchise per town with more in the cities so it really is on a first come - first gets basis, I do not have to do any Credit checks, get References or any of the other things usually required when you are dealing with a Franchise as this is a small low-cost part-time mini-Franchise and the money is paid up front, I don't operate with credit and this business does not operate credit either, it is a COD business. The bonus is that you will make good friends with a lot of shop-owners who you will be providing the service for, that can also open a lot of other doors for you, I have been doing this now for quite a few years and 'am on first name terms with most of the shop-owners in my home town and that can be a good feeling on it's own, it is what is known as 'respect'. They even send other business owners to me from other towns and that is another reason why I decided to Franchise as I need a network of people, I have set a target of 500 mini-Franchises in the UK and Ireland, I have not yet set a figure on USA and Canada as I have yet to carry out more research for those countries but that will be in place for June 2008.
